Developing Alice: Brush Sketches

As part of the Alice in Wonderland project I'm working on (see Kickstarter page: www.kickstarter.com/projects/6…), we had to decide what the "new" Alice would look like. Here are some of the preliminary sketches, all done with a Pentel brush pen.  That pen is a wonderful, portable tool, but it definitely takes practice.  It's great for making quick, expressive drawings. I was getting pretty good with it when I did these, but I've since gotten a bit rusty.
